Video transcript
The walkthrough uses demo players and a sample player auction.
Auction night
The player is up. The bid comes in. Sold. The stage celebrates, the team's purse updates, and the player joins the squad. One decision, shared across the room. This is a player auction with Pickleball Scorer. Let's go from preparing your league to running the night.
Set your league's rules
Setup brings four parts together: rules, teams, players, and a check before you go live. Start with your squad sizes, the team purse, bid increments, and player categories with their base prices. Choose how the room will bid: an auctioneer taking paddle bids, or owners bidding from their phones. Configure the format your league has agreed, before the first player goes on stage.
Prepare teams and players
Give each team its name, colour, logo, and purse. Then bring in your player list from a spreadsheet, with categories, base prices, and the details you want to show. Our demonstration has eight teams and a hundred and forty one sample players. Search makes it quick to find a player, check the details, and get the list ready for auction night.
Check and rehearse
Before you go live, run the pre auction check. It checks the rules against the available player pool and highlights issues that could prevent teams completing their squads. Then run a rehearsal. You can review a simulated auction using this setup before the real event begins. It's a practical way to catch problems early, and give the committee a chance to review the plan.
Connect the room
Open the stage view on your projector or venue screen. The player, current bid, leading team, and remaining purses are easy for the room to follow. Use the broadcast overlay for your stream, and share the public live page with fans. The QR on the stage gives people a quick way to follow from their phones.
Run the auction
This is the auctioneer's console. Draw a player, then take the bids. Each team has its own control, so the operator can keep pace with the room. Watch the stage as the leading bid changes. When you confirm Sold, the player moves into the winning squad and the purse updates. The operator stays in control of when the sale happens.
Keep the night moving
Need to correct the last action? Undo brings it back, so you can check the player, team, and amount before carrying on. And when the room needs a break, put up a clear break message on the stage. Resume when everyone is ready. Small controls that matter when you're running a live event.
Keep owners informed
The console shows eligibility and spending guidance for the player on the block. Team owners have their own private phone page: remaining purse, squad so far, and what the team still needs. During bidding, they can see the guidance for the current player too. Share each private link only with its team. The public live page is the one to share with everybody else.
Show the bigger picture
Between players, switch the stage to squads, purses, or the remaining player pool. Fans can open a team on the public live page to follow its players and prices. The same auction stays understandable from the operator's desk, the back of the hall, or a phone at home.
Share the results
Results and downloads bring the squad information together. Export a spreadsheet, create a sold player poster or story, and download a team poster for your social pages. When you're ready for the league itself, the tournament handoff helps bring those squads into the next stage of your event.
